A Second Chance

A SECOND CHANCE. How beautiful is that?

Let’s be honest. We don’t always hit the mark. In fact, sometimes, we’re no where near the target. For many of us, our New Year’s Resolutions have already been broken (who can resist a warm chocolate chip cookie??) but there’s so much promise in the birth of a new day. The dawn brings us the opportunity to TRY AGAIN.

Every. Single. Day. We get a chance to be a better version of the person we were yesterday.

And do you know what else is beautiful? The lessons learned from making the mistakes. Those mistakes help us grow, learn more about ourselves and help us to become better friends, partners, and parents.

To understand the power of this opportunity, we challenge you to practice these strategies:

1. Learn how to use the mistakes you made yesterday. Some of our most valuable life lessons come from the mistakes we make along the way. Instead of letting them bring you down, think about how they can make you better.

2.  Start each day focused on the power of positivity. Instead of waking up thinking about all the things you did wrong yesterday, think about all the amazing opportunities that you will have TODAY. These opportunities present themselves all day long-we must be ready for them, and sometimes, we even have to look for them. But they are there!

3.  Share this gift with others. Always take the opportunity to encourage others who may be having bad day. Sometimes, your kindness is just what they need to help them see the light in a dark moment.

So get out there! Take risks. Make mistakes. Learn from them. And know that “tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it yet.”
